Known worldwide after being featured on Netflix’s World’s Most Amazing Vacation Rentals, Camaya had been on our list for a long time. Staying here felt surreal, almost like stepping into a dream where nature, design, and silence exist in perfect balance.

From the moment we arrived, everything felt peaceful and intentional. No noise, no rush, just rice fields stretching into the distance and bamboo architecture that blends beautifully with the landscape. This is the kind of place that makes you pause, breathe deeper, and truly be present.

Camaya Bali is located in the middle of nature, far from Bali’s busy areas. The drive itself feels like a transition leaving crowds behind and slowly entering a calmer, more authentic side of the island. Mornings here are quiet and misty, and the views feel almost unreal.

The Bamboo Houses We Stayed In

During our stay, we experienced two very different bamboo villas, each offering a completely unique feeling.

Pyramid House

The Pyramid House is one of those places that looks impressive in photos but feels even more special in real life. Its bold triangular shape immediately stands out, and once inside, you’re greeted with panoramic views over the rice terraces that feel endless.

The villa is completely open-air, with no air conditioning, but the natural breeze flowing through the bamboo structure keeps it comfortable. Waking up here was magical. Soft morning light, birds in the distance, and the quiet movement of rice fields below. The private pool made it easy to spend hours doing absolutely nothing.

Lotus House

If the Pyramid House feels bold and architectural, the Lotus House feels gentle and intimate. This villa had a softer, more romantic energy and its also without aircondition. It’s more secluded, surrounded by jungle, and instantly makes you want to slow down.

The infinity hammock overlooking the greenery became our favorite spot, especially during quiet afternoons. The outdoor living area is spacious and perfect for long, lazy days, while the fly tulle-covered bed made sleeping in nature feel comfortable and peaceful rather than exposed.
