When spring arrives, we know it's time for Tulips! Every year the flowering time varies due to the weather conditions. More or less, the blooming time is from the last week of March till the beginning/mid May. You can experience the spectacular colors of tulip gardens in between 23 March 2024 till 14 May 2024.

1 - The Keukenhof Gardens
The Keukenhof Gardens in Lisse are the largest flower gardens in the world and are home to millions of tulips, daffodils, and other bulb flowers. The gardens are open for just eight weeks a year during the blooming period and attracts over a million visitors.

2 - Middelharnis - Goeree-Overflakkee Tulip Routes (Off the Beaten Path Fields)
Goeree-Overflakkee Tulip Routes are Less known and more quiet paths willed with beautiful colorful tulip fields on Goeree-Overflakkee, island of South Holland which is only 40 minutes by car from Rotterdam. You can rent a car or find a private tour with a local guide around the area. You might even consider renting a bike to explore the fields! These sites provide endless rows of tulip fields that are open to public and open to visits unless stated otherwise. When visiting these tulip fields, it's important to be respectful of the flowers and the farmers who tend to them. Stay on the designated paths and don't pick any of the flowers. Remember, these fields are the livelihood of many Dutch farmers, so it's important to treat them with care and respect.
Tip: Arrange all the details of your trip beforehand, always the best way of exploring the off the beaten path tulip fields are by doing it with a local person who can guide you to the best spots from the right ways.

3 - Tulip Farms & Windmills in Noth-Holland (Off the Beaten Path Fields)
If you want to discover the Dutch Country side tulip fields that are not crowded and full of tourists, North Holland area is your destination! Starting from the city of Schagen, around 1 hour by train up North from Amsterdam to many surrounding destinations, you can create your own tulip fields exploration route! Or you can also rent a car to discover the fields in the North. When travelling around the North Holland Area, you can come across many tulip fields near the roads. Most of those fields are filled with endless rows of tulips in various colors. Do not forget that they can be privately owned fields and if its prohibited, please do not enter or take tulips from the fields. You will see signs state if you can enter or not. It's important to be respectful to the farmers and the flowers. Normally you can't walk among the tulip rows but there are some places that the farmers let people to enjoy the flowers. If you wouldn't want to explore the Noth site all by yourself, you can find someone who can be guide to you or arrange a private tour to the North Tulip Fields which are less touristy.
Tip: You don't need to arrange all the details of your trip since you will be passing by many small towns that you can also get to experience the Dutch culture, eat and rest. Just enjoy getting lost on the way to find the best tulip fields in the Noth Holland.
